Ex-accountant and production manager of a canteen in Altchevsk Ms Boldyr was made redundant in the end of 90s and started her own business by baking and selling patties on the nearest market. By the time of official registration of her business in October 2004, she has been supplying several stores and bars and selling her products at the city stadium during football matches. In May 2005 Ms Boldyr for the first time applied to bank Forum for a loan in the amount of UAH 2,000 for the purchase of necessary ingredients. In November 2005 Bank Forun financed the purchase of a food processor, an electric deep fryer and a used refrigerator. The purchased equipment allowed her to increase the volume of production. Later in September 2005 she rented canteen premises in one of the colleges of Altchevsk and hired two more cooks. Since then she has been cooking tasty lunches for more than 500 students. In November 2006 with the help of the third loan she installed the autonomous power supply system in the canteen and bought a second dough-mixing machine. Ms Boldyr managed to expand her business by hiring additional personnel and selling her products (patties, salads and pizza) in another 2 shops and the college. With the help of the last loan, which she received in May 2007, Ms Boldyr carried out some renovations in the canteen and bought the required furniture. In all, she has obtained from Bank Forum four loans totaling UAH 27,000.
