Mr. Dryha worked on a state-owned farm from 1990 to 1997. After the privatisation of the land formerly owned by the state farms, he leased a parcel of land on which he began to grow various crops. Since 2003 he has been leasing and cultivating 10 hectares of land and breeding pigs. Mr. Dryha applied to Bank Forum for the first time in May 2006, obtaining a loan in the amount of UAH 10,000 to purchase more piglets. Since then, he has received five UMLP loans from Bank Forum in a total amount of UAH 163,000, allowing him to increase the number of pigs, to repair his existing pigsties and to purchase additional ones, and to buy rabbits and ducks. This expansion in his business has enabled the farmer to supply meat on a regular basis not only to retail trading companies, but to wholesalers as well.
