Mr. Murlyan has been operating his business since 1998, when his first bar, “X-Files”, was opened in the Mykolaiv city centre. In January 2001 he applied to PrivatBank for a loan in the amount of USD 1,000, using the funds to buy furniture for his new bar “Domovoy”.  Gradually the loan amounts increased, the business expanded, premises were purchased and renovated, and the new bars “Duel”, “Dialog”, and a billiard room “Classic” were opened. While the loan amounts increased, one thing always remained constant – his perfect loan repayment record, without any arrears. In time, using funds lent by PrivatBank, Mr. Murlyan purchased some flats situated in the same building in which the bar “Domovoy” is located. Full-scale renovation turned the small bar into a three-floor club of 680 m2, where clients can enjoy live music and exquisite cuisine at reasonable prices. Large halls can be rented for special events, such as wedding receptions or corporate dinners. At the same time the financial support of PrivatBank allowed Mr. Murlyan to turn a small billiard room with three tables into a 500 m2 billiard club where regular contests are now held. The entrepreneur’s wife runs a further line of business, a catering service. Since they began working with PrivatBank, the entrepreneurs have obtained a total of USD 316,000 in loan funds. In spite of the size and stability which his business has attained, Mr. Murlyan has plans for further development, including the construction in the near future of a new nightclub near the “Domovoy” bar.
