| Megabank, jointly with the UMLP, has introduced new credit products for the target group of MSME clients in rural areas. For the time being Megabank is offering agricultural and rural loans in the Kharkov region (Kharkov, Izum, Lozovaya and Balakleya with further outlets to be included into the new programme). On May 20, 2009 the first agro loan was disbursed by loan officers of Izyum outlet. Currently the bank offers such products, as “Express agro loan” (up to UAH 30,000 with a maturity of up to 12 months) and “Micro agro loan” (up to UAH 250,000 with a maturity of up to 36 months). These new products will enable agro and rural-entrepreneurs to pursue their business more efficiently. Funds may be obtained to finance agricultural production, husbandry and to purchase or repair machinery.
As of May 2009 UMLP partner banks disbursed more than 40,000 agro loans for the amount of nearly USD 331 mln.
